Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I teach are in a TK/K combination class! They are in a Korean Dual Language Program at a Title I school in the heart of Los Angeles. Fun fact: Some students are learning their 3rd language! To describe them in one word: AMAZING!
My Project
This easel will allow students in my classroom to leave their desks and sit in a more comfortable space at the carpet. They will be able to work in partners and groups, moving around and having conversations with each other, something that is very important with our young learners. We will also be able to build our classroom community with morning meetings and circle time with our easel at the carpet.
The Alphabet Tubs are a hands-on and engaging resource that will be greatly beneficial to our young learners who are just getting into learning their alphabet letters and sounds.
