Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all unique and that is what makes them special. Each one has their own personality ranging from goofy, to sassy to super silly. Each day with these kiddos is a different adventure and each adventure is what makes memories for all of us. This year my 6 students will all really range in their abilities but what truly matters is that they all put their very best effort into their daily activities. I love my students and I can’t wait to see what this year holds for our class team.

This year my 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are set to explore superheroes and dinosaurs and outer space, OH MY!

We have loads of fun projects planned for this year and my students love projects and activities that keep them engaged and active. If it lights up, makes noise, or smells good you definitely have their attention! Having mostly students from low-income households, it is my goal to expand their minds and access to activities that they might have never had the chance to explore before.

My Project

My Students LOVE having a break area where they can go to decompress and refocus themselves so that they can continue working to the best of their abilities. They enjoy using the fidget toys to refocus themselves and they will be one of the most used products in the break area.

By giving my students a reading nook, they will be able to have a dedicated area to sit and relax while enjoying sensory toys that will help them maintain their zen in order to get back to work!

An additional table and the tennis balls for the bottoms of the chairs will help my students collaborate throughout the school day.
