This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In order to capture the minds of multiple learners, teachers have to use a variety of strategies. One material that is especially useful to me are post-its and chart paper. I go through them like crazy! My students take notes on their reading books, we do whole class activities, and more.

At my school, the administration and parents are very supportive of literacy and encourage books that will motivate all readers.

Reading is strongly supported and we are always looking for ways to improve motivation and reading achievement.

My Project

Hi everyone! I am in need of an easel for my classroom. I have close to 90 7th grade students of many varying levels. I do a lot of group work and when I pull a small group, it is often hard for me to demonstrate skills because the whiteboard is in the front of the room. Having an easel with a whiteboard would be extremely helpful and allow me to give all my students the instruction they deserve.

The easel has two sides so I can also have chart paper displayed, which will also allow me to demonstrate skills.

Chart paper can also be used during group work and allow the students to present their assignments. Lastly, the expo markers, which tend to disappear as the year goes on, will allow the students and I the ability to write on both the whiteboard and the chart paper.
