My Students

The 27 students in my class have been identified as Gifted and Talented and it is the only class of this nature on the grade. We are located within a diverse neighborhood school. Many of my students are first generation Americans. Their families come from all over the world and many of my students only speak English in school. Our school is a Title I school, where the majority of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. As a result, funds are limited for classroom supplies.

My students love to learn!

They enjoy learning through books, technology, and hands-on projects. My students enjoy having a choice to create projects that are meaningful to them!

My Project

We need a new classroom white board easel so lessons can be taught in front of the classroom. The one we currently have is old and does not erase properly. This makes it difficult for my students to see what is written! Our library is also in need of lots of new and interesting books! These books will be used for independent reading and for research. They will be able to go on adventures with Geronimo Stilton and fly to outer space with the Astronomy book set. They are so excited for these materials!
