My Project

Our students are working on improving their skills with fictional texts as they read and respond to the text. Having a book each child can call their own makes the learning more impactful. Students can use their book to reference the text as they answer comprehension questions or participate in a book discussion with their peers. The students take better ownership of their work when they have their text with which to work. Students can also mark their books with sticky notes, highlighting key moments in the story, or big ideas within the text. We want every child to have a book in their hand.
