My Project

I teach a self contained class of 6, pre-K students with significant delays and disabilities. My students are non-speaking and on the autism spectrum. It is important that they have access and exposure to art activities and have opportunities to write, draw, and paint. They have fine motor delays and receive related services, such as speech therapy and occupational therapy.

During each unit of study, I design specific art activities that are reflective of what we are learning.

For example, during our unit on water, students used ice cubes to paint!

These much needed art supplies will give my students with special needs resources and opportunities to draw, paint and write.
