My Project

I am excited to share my enthusiasm for the outstanding students in our school's Eco-Club. These inner-city high school students are hardworking and full of potential. Their energy and enthusiasm for learning about the environment inspire me every day. They are dedicated to making a difference in their community; however, they face challenges due to limited project funding. Despite these obstacles, they continue to engage in various environmental activities, including beach clean-ups in partnership with Heal the Bay, tree planting with TreePeople, e-waste drives, campus clean-ups, and Earth Day celebrations featuring bingo and art projects.

One particular dream that has persisted since 2016 is for our Eco-Club members to design their t-shirts.

Unfortunately, funding constraints have kept this aspiration out of reach. By providing the necessary resources for this DIY t-shirt project, you will enable my 60 high school students to express their creativity and commitment to environmental stewardship. Designing their t-shirts will not only foster a sense of pride and unity among members but will also serve as a tangible representation of their dedication to the environment.

This project will enhance their learning experience, allowing them to apply art and design skills while promoting awareness of environmental issues.

My goal is to create a meaningful and impactful learning opportunity for these students, empowering them to take ownership of their Eco-Club identity. What makes my students exceptional is their unwavering passion for the planet and their desire to lead by example. They are eager to learn and contribute, and with your support, we can help them achieve their goals.
