I am a STEM teacher in an elementary school and my students are in grades K-5. My students live throughout the borough of the Bronx and have Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our school is part of New York City's District 75, which provides specialized instruction and support for students with significant challenges.
Our students are eager to learn and explore and I look forward to seeing their faces light up when they are introduced to new topics or hands-on activities!
My students succeed best when they are provided with a well managed and structured environment, that’s full of love and support for their individual needs. When provided with a well rounded education including visual, auditory, tactile and technology opportunities, my students will continue to grow and achieve success!
My Project
Many of my kiddos need a tangible reward to keep them on task and to help drive a completion of an assignment. Science and STEM is very fun and engaging for my kiddos however sometimes it can be difficult for some students to stay on task. These variety of prizes can help in keeping my students focused and on task. Having a prize bin visible filled with some of their favorite goodies would be such a great help for them to see in the classroom! Having them work for a prize and being able to go to the prize box is motivation for success! Thank you!
