Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My pre-kindergarten students will be able to enjoy engaging storytelling materials through listening and interacting with the stories. Amazing and popular stories like Polar Bear Polar Bear What Do You Hear, Pete the Cat, Rainbow Fish, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom will have story props that align with learning. Students will be able to make the connection between oral language and reading comprehension in real life and real-world experiences. Reading is important in our daily lives; therefore, it's important to engage our pre-kindergarten students

Because my students learn best from interaction and manipulating hands-on materials, I would like to encourage this creativity with storytelling kits, books, and felt boards.

With the products I have selected, my pre-kindergarten students will have more opportunities to listen and retell stories. The felt board, story kits, books, and puppets will engage students and allow them to continue to make connections and increase comprehension.

With your generosity and support, my prekindergarten students (now and in the future) will be able to practice smart choices and take charge of their learning.
