My Project

Second grade is an important time in the life of young readers. Their foundational skills are growing and they are becoming kids who are no longer learning to read but are beginning to read to learn.

By providing early chapter books with engaging visuals and characters, I hope to spark a love of reading in my emerging readers.

I have chosen a selection of eye-catching titles that will grab and maintain my students' attention, including the first several books in each series represented.

My goal with this project is to both support emerging readers and to offer a variety of enjoyable books for those who are building their abilities and confidence as readers.
