This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in an urban district where the majority of our students qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch. I have a special education classroom that includes students with Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities, ADD, ADHD and Emotionally Disturbed. My students are from a variety of economic backgrounds.

My students come to school every day ready to learn and eager to be engaged.

They put forth their best effort every day and are active participants in their own learning. I am continually looking for new ways to keep them invested in their education.

My Project

Many of the students that I work with are very sensitive to sound and how headphones feel on their ears. There are many programs that my students are on during the day that requires them to hear audio on Chromebooks. The Sony headphones will provide them with comfort while they are on these educational programs. The noise cancelling headphones will help my students that are sensitive to loud noise. These headphones will be used in a variety of environments that are loud and overly stimulating. For example, in music class, at a special event in the gym, recess or in the lunch room. These headphones will helps students by providing them with a sense of relief when the volume is to loud in the environment around them.
