This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Calling the community for support. Help me give my students and their families a safe space at school to come and pick out donated clothing items. Too often our students come to school without the proper gear for the weather and we want to help by having options on site. We want to create a clothing corner on our campus where parents can set up a time to come and shop for items that fit their children. In order to do this, we need clothes racks, hangers, and storage bins.

Our vision is to have a room on campus where the counselor and support staff would help families pick out clothing items for their children and give them further community resources should they need them.

Most schools have a lost and found for unclaimed items, but we want our Eagles to have options and leave with dignity at the end of the experience or school day.
