Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

"Creativity is the secret sauce to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)." ~Anissa Ramirez
I agree with this quote because as teachers we need to give our students many opportunities to expand their creativity in all academic areas.
My students are a wonderful bunch that are eager to learn and put forth great effort in class with the materials we currently have.
I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners, which include primary grade levels. I work with students who have autism, students with specific learning disabilities, and speech-language impairments. My students attend an elementary school where close to 70% of our students are English Language Learners and 90% of our students receive free or reduced lunch.
My Project
My students will use this Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) bundle to learn new concepts. This bundle provides the tools we need to integrate STEM into our curriculum and help students explore important concepts hands on. It includes a kit that will help them create their very own chain reaction courses to innovative sets that introduce them to the design process and encourage problem solving through beloved fairy tales. This bundle will surely keep students learning in thrilling new ways. We will use the dot markers to add, subtract, and multiply. The hundreds chart has a write/wipe chart on front and easily sticks to any magnetic surface. It comes with 60 square magnets that are great for skip-counting, identifying even and odd numbers. The ten frames will help my students visualize a variety of math concepts with the skill-building trays and counters. The raised grid lines on each tray will keep counters in place as students practice addition and subtraction.
Please help my students by contributing to a STEM Bundle for kindergarten-first grade, a variety of dot art paint, paper, Ten-Frames Class Set, and a Count to 120 Magnetic Number Chart for our class to develop critical thinking skills.
These resources will help support my students by giving them access to STEM opportunities, empower them to make things, enhance their curiosity, and gain the creative confidence to bring their ideas to live.
