My Students

"Eager Readers" only begins to describe the 23 students I have in my kindergarten class. This being my first year teaching kindergarten and I am amazed on a daily basis by each child's growth and excitement in and for learning.

We currently learn in a fantastic neighborhood school located in one of the fastest growing areas in South Carolina.

Our kindergarten through fifth grade school boasts over 700 students. These are children that come from a variety of ethnicity's and socioeconomic leveled backgrounds. Some children have the opportunity for many outside activities and parental support, but the majority don't.

My Project

I am in desperate need of these three themed library sets. As my students continue to grow and change and learn more each day, I need to continue to put in their hands books that they can do just that with. These sets are centered around three main topics we discuss in kindergarten: weather, all about me, and feelings.

By supporting this project, you will not only be helping me put books in the hands of 23 eager readers, you will be forever making a difference in the literacy lives of these children that are our future.
