My Project
The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted learning for students, shifting the traditional classroom environment to virtual formats, thereby reducing opportunities for in-person social interaction and collaboration. This transition has led to a noticeable decline in students' social-emotional development, as they miss out on crucial aspects of relationship building and teamwork. By securing crucial supplies for our esports club such as a Gaming Monitor, gel seat cushions, and a charging station, we can address these challenges head-on. Esports inherently requires teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking, mirroring the collaborative skills needed in academic settings. Providing resources for this club will directly contribute to continuing students' social-emotional and academic learning by fostering a community based around a shared passion for video games. This environment will not only rekindle social interactions among students but also enhance their ability to work together, problem-solve, and support each other—critical skills in both academic and personal development, especially in the context of the ongoing challenges presented by COVID-19.
