My Students

I teach at an IB K-8 magnet school with creative, open-minded, motivated Kindergarten students that will need online support this year as we will be e-learning/brick and mortar in our district. These students come from all over the district and for me to have access to them from school and home will help make their first experience in school a great one!

Students are coming in to our school from all different experiences and backgrounds.

As a teacher, I will need to meet the needs of each student through technology in order to make them successful for their Kindergarten year.

My Project

Having a laptop at home will help me support my students by having access to them 24/7 with questions that might pop up as they are e-learning. I will be able to go on and have face-to-face interactions with students and parents. I will be able to have live zoom sessions with them to teach them throughout the day. I will also be printing worksheets and activities for the students to do with me as we e-learn throughout our day. They will be able to view and participate with these worksheets/activities as we are in our zoom lessons. These worksheets can also be scanned and sent to parents who do not have access to a printer.

Technology is a key component in teaching this school year with so many unknowns.

Starting the year off e-learning with Kindergartners is going to be extremely challenging. Having a laptop and printer at home will help me be more successful with my students and their families.
