My Students

My students are struggling readers in West Virginia. They need books for inspiration to learn and enjoy reading. These students are in grades kindergarten through fifth grade and do not always have access to books. Many of these students come from low-income families and do not have access to books and rarely get the educational help that they need at home.

These students would benefit from having as many books as possible in their hands to strengthen their reading skills.

These books will also increase their comprehension skills.

My Project

During this pandemic, many students will be learning from home through e-learning. Many of our students do not have the supplies at home to work from home easily. I am trying to provide materials for them to make it easier for them to learn.

These materials will help to work easier through e-learning.

They will use the magnetic letters and tray to spell out words to practice spelling and to learn vowel patterns. The dry erase boards will help them work out math problems and show their answers without others seeing.
