Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating awareness of the strengths and weaknesses displayed by students with Dyslexia through children's books is of utmost importance for the school community and will contribute to minimizing the emotional implications related to the difficulty. While Dyslexia is indeed a learning difference, it is also a gift! Your donation will provide our students with Dyslexia with a reward system for their participation in therapy sessions, colored overlays to help with reading difficulties, and manipulatives to help them learn kinesthetically,

My classes consist of amazing students.

The large majority of my students are limited English speaking, English Language Learners, receive resource services, or are dyslexic. About 70% are socioeconomically disadvantaged, so getting supplies for school is not easy. They all have to possess win-win attitudes and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community.

Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
