Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first grade teacher in a Dual Language program in the Bronx.I currently have 32 students in my classroom! My students are all excited about learning Spanish, the majority of my students come from homes where English is the dominant language. It's so exciting to see how their little faces light up when they learn something new!

We would like to incorporate more hands on activities during center time on Spanish days!

We want students to be able to manipulate letters and words, in addition to listening to stories in Spanish! Your donation will offer students the opportunity to have more resources in Spanish!

My Project

I am a Dual Language 1st grade teacher. My students receive instruction in English and Spanish on alternating days. We are in need of more resources to support their literacy development in Spanish!

My students will be able to use the resources during center time, this will increase their engagement during Spanish instruction.

They will be able to use the tiles to form sentences. The listening center will be used to listen to stories in Spanish! The students will also be able to manipulate letters during literacy centers and practice letter sounds, form words and sight words! We look forward to your donation!
