My Students

My students are from low income families that live in an intercity community. English is not the first language spoken at home. A large majority of my students are migrant, which makes it hard for them to make lasting relations

I love that all my students aspire to be someone great.

Many of them enter into this country never having gone to school before. They not only have to learn a new language but a new way of life.

I have the most energetic, creative, enthusiastic, inspiring and charismatic students that enjoy exploring art.

My Project

All of my students want to create and explore art. I have been blessed to see my classes at least twice a week giving them the opportunity to create and explore on a regular basis. This helps them with the basic fundamentals to steady and create art. In the process it also helps to build their self-esteem and to express themselves creatively.

The Tabletop 50-Shelf Drying and Storage Rack will play a major role in the art room for the students.

First and foremost it will help me teach my students to be better organized and self-efficient. It will give all students a chance to be responsible for their art work by storing it themselves. It will enhance their responsibility not only in the art room but also in their homerooms as well.
