My students need to be expose to great literature like The One and Only Ivan so they can relate and be interested in reading since they don't choose great books like this, only comics.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The group of students that I am getting to know are mostly economic disadvantaged. They are eager to learn everything you have to teach them. Some students are behind two grade levels in reading comprehension and fluency. If these students have the opportunity and great resources they are most likely to succeed. I am here to voice their needs, so they can have a better future.
They need the confidence and the love to read to have a better future.
So they need great resources to do that.
My Project
The materials will help make a difference in my students learning by providing the opportunity to be expose to great materials to further their reading skills and open their possibilities to open their minds by reading a great novel.
To further their vocabulary development, reading comprehension and reading fluency my students really need great resources.
I am hoping by having the students be more expose they would be able to preform better on state assessment or catch up in their reading abilities. I really want my students to succeed and see that there are people invested in their future like me.
