My Project

A minimum of 2 changes of clothes is extremely important in Pre-K and accidents happen. Some families are not able to spare the extra clothes or do not have the appropriate sizes. The selection of shoes, socks, underwear, and pants will help to provide my students with the needed change of clothes that will allow them to move throughout the classroom dry and comfortable, without the added stress on families that cannot provide it for personal reasons. The sweaters, coat, hats and mittens will help to keep them warm as the weather changes.

My students are able to learn more when they feel comfortable knowing they do not have to worry about their clothes getting wet, dirty or not fitting well.

These materials will help to ease the burden and create an inclusive classroom, not just for the students, but their families as well. I have seen how the stresses of "accidents" can affect the students well being, and hope that the extra clothes will help to alleviate some stress.
