Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school districts mandates that every student wears a uniform while at school in an effort to make material clothing more "equitable" and accessible for all. However, 88.3% of our student population are low-income. With this in mind, many of our families have difficulty purchasing and providing clean and appropriately sized uniforms to their students. As a school social worker/school counselor, it's my job to help students feel safe and supported while they are at school; it's a key to success! My project is broken down into two parts; tops (part 1) and bottoms (part 2).

Not having to worry about their clothing will allow students to focus on their schoolwork, while socializing worry-free!

Our students deserve to feel comfortable and successful while at school!
