My Project

Currently, I don't have a classroom; I have to push into rooms to instruct. I have a small office where I store all the materials. I am a technology teacher and so I love doing hands-on projects with the students, as much as possible. There are many occasions where I am unable to do certain projects with students because I am unable to take the materials to the students; some of my classes are on different floors and I have a lot of STEM materials. At the same time, every time materials is used, assorting and arranging them takes some time, so restoring and restoking becomes essential for reuse for the next class. I had no way of delivering and returning effectively and efficiently all the kits to the classes. For example, one of the classes I teach is robotics, and I have 24 bins of robotics resources for use in the classes and it takes about 10-15 minutes just to take materials into one class with assistance, but we have only a 55 minute block of classroom time. Added to that, sorting the various kits can take hours at a time, just for the process to start again the following day. I have many materials I want to take to the various classrooms at various levels, from Arduino, pneumatics/hydraulics, analog electronic pieces, Lego robots, Spheros and Cue-Bot robots, etc., and having at least 4 portable rack to store, where we can put the needed kits and other materials, to deliver and restock in a few minutes would be great help. I want my students to be able to use the materials, and have time to use them in the class.
