My Students

Our school is experiencing changing demographics with more than a third of these first grade students receiving free or reduced lunch. This enthusiastic group of students are achieving at a variety of learning levels. We are NOT a Title 1 school, so we don't receive funding.

I want to demonstrate Innovation in the OC!

This eager group of students love to learn and are very inquisitive. I am attempting to unlock their potential through innovative STEAM activities and programs. Coding is a skillset that will position these students for jobs in the future.

My Project

The Ozobot class set that I am requesting is so my students have the same opportunity as their peers to be able to dream and succeed in their future.

The donations to this project will inspire our future leaders.

Every "grown-up" job is a STEAM job in some way. Technology has changed the skills our students will need to be successful in the work force of tomorrow. Tech literacy skills and coding is an important skill for the future. Ozobots introduce this skill for our younger generation while giving the kids a chance to combine technology and play to enhance learning and retention. They use sequential and critical thinking skills in order to control or code a robot. While doing this students will be communicating with one another, creating, planning, and collaborating- All desirable skills for our future workers to possess.

While using these Ozobots the communication and learning gap closes. Engaged students are working together and learning in order to become productive members of the future.
