Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

About My Students

The students who are leading this project are: Lily, Audrey, Naviah, Isaac, Thu, Alyanna, Demiree, Kenya, Maria, Harrison, Amelie, Margaret, Cheyenne, Eli, Dakota, Rosalva, Lana, Shelley, Logan, Shaelen and Lucas. These students have an interest for both music and visual art respectively. These multi-talented students are capable in both subject areas, often reaching advanced placements in both disciplines. These students have already begun working together, creating plans and designs for props. The students have also compiled the list of resources necessary to make their visions come to life. By creating this project, they are taking initiative and showing that they are willing to do what it takes to make their "Dream Concert" come true.

Students will be creating props for a dream concert that will not only include tremendous music, but will also showcase student's amazing visual art talents. Students will be collaborating with their peers to design and build specific props for the concert theme: "Movies, Television and Broadway." By working in small groups, each team of students will create their own masterpiece.

The props will add ambiance and excitement to the concert hall for this unique and uplifting production. Audience members will be amazed by the creativity and talent displayed by each team's projects.

In Their Own Words

This project will help achieve goal of a total and complete concert. In this project we are planning to receive supplies for props. These props will hopefully bring more people and students to the concert. This will bring the fun aspect of art into our concert. The project will help bring the community together to hear our music.

We will make the most out of this leadership opportunity by incorporating better ideas that may be more challenging to create. This will bring us students together in order to complete the harder projects that we encounter. Once the project is completed, we will be able to see what we can accomplish and expand to create more complex projects in the future.

This project is important because it will help to bring the students together. In doing this, we will be able to see what we can accomplish together. This project will show us that by working together we can accomplish a lot of things in life, even if they do present a bit of a challenge.
