My Project

My students are in a specialized education program for those that are learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, and autistic. Many come from low-income families who have difficulties purchasing any supplies.

My students love art because it allows them to express themselves since so often many of my students have verbal and writing challenges.

Art is a great way for children to interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts. Art can be used to explore their emotions, understand conflicts or feelings that are causing them distress, and use art to help them find resolutions to those issues.
