Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students are working so hard to learn new concepts and keep these concepts in their mind as they work hard to solve problems. Therefore, having poster paper available to make anchor charts that students can refer back to is very instrumental in their learning. By hanging these anchor charts around our room, students can refer back to important moments during our time together to refresh their moments of what comes next in the procedural steps of the problems they are solving.

I want to make sure that all of my students are able to scaffold their learning in order to make connections with foundational skills they will need to continue building their learning.

In order to do this, I need to be able to remind them of the prior steps and knowledge they learned in order to do higher-leveled work. Therefore, being able to show them what we have worked on while they are working independently is imperative to good learning!
