Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dramatic play is a very important part of a child's preschool experience! We are in need of materials to make our Dramatic Play area a truly fun, interactive space where children can explore and have fun! Children love to role play. This is how we as preschool teachers have an opportunity to develop their vocabulary, enrich their social skills, and allow them to be creative! We are asking for dress-up kits, community helper costumes, multicultural costumes, and a variety of pretend play kits such as a doctor's kit, veterinarian, styling kit, and more. These materials will allow us to create a variety of role playing scenarios in the house area such as a veterinarian's office, a grocery store, a barber shop, a pizzeria, etc.

With the materials we have selected, we will be able to switch out different role playing opportunities throughout the year.

Students can learn math by using play money to interact with at the grocery store or by counting the number of produce they'll add to a bag. They will develop social skills by interacting with their friends in role playing.

I am also asking for a play house with corresponding accessories as well as a train kit. These materials will help our students use rich vocabulary as well as develop new vocabulary. They will also help further develop social skills which is so important coming out of a pandemic! Your support is much appreciated!
