Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 20 wonderful students. They range in age from 3 to 5 years old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian students. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!

My Project

My project includes materials for our class dramatic play center. Dramatic play is important to help build my students emotional, social, and cognitive development. It gives them a chance to interact with others while exploring things they have learned.

I have asked for tools for my students to use during our building and imagination unit.

The cash register and ice cream will be used for an ice cream shop. The mailbox and dentist set will be used during our community unit. The containers will be used to help store items. I have asked for a shelf to help display the items.

Thank you so much for considering my project. My students are amazing and deserve the best environment and tools.
