Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class has a wide range of abilities and each student has different needs to be addressed. I want to be able to provide more interactions during storytime for my non-verbal students as well as more manipulatives. I also would like to provide my students with more sensory items.

They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even though they don't know it yet.

They are the future, and I want to give them the best start I can in school.

My Project

My students benefit greatly from lots of dramatic play to help us increase our social skills with friends. We change out our dramatic play many times and it could be used in so many ways throughout the school year. It could be the front of our restaurant or even our flower shop. In the winter our dramatic play area turns into an ice skating rink so we could check in our ice skaters. We also have a pumpkin and apple patch in the fall so we could display pumpkins in the window for everyone to see.
