My Students

My students are so full of kindness. I love to teach them independence and friendship skills. We also practice problem solving so they can be advocates for their peers in the future. While we follow a curriculum, I also tune into their interests and investigate questions they may have about the world.

My Project

Dramatic Play is a center where children can pretend play a variety of themes. Sometimes it can be a restaurant, salon, doctor's office, vet clinic, grocery store, etc. I want to give my students the opportunity to play one of the most fundamental parts of life - a home.

By donating to this project, my students will be able to represent their own family dynamic in addition to exploring diverse and unique family styles.

Family comes in different shapes, sizes, and colors. It's important for children to understand that all families are unique in their way and it's okay if they are different from their own.

Sometimes children at this age have a new baby at home. It can be a challenging transition for young ones to go through. Playing siblings or parents in Dramatic Play can help me role play problem solving and caring for a new born.
