My Students

I teach a well-rounded, diverse group of preschoolers, in the Bronx, NY. They range in age from 3-5 and their families come from different economic and ethnic backgrounds. I do my best, every day, to make learning fun and as hands-on as possible. This year, my goal is to stray from using too many man-made materials, in favor of using more natural eco-friendly supplies and materials, such as would be seen in Reggio-Emilia themed preschool classrooms. I would be most grateful and appreciative for all the support and help from any donors! Thank you everyone!

My Project

These items will help the students learn life skills, as well as help them to create better interpersonal relationships with each other during center time activities. They will learn how people live in their homes, interact with one another, cooperate and share. The students will be able to use the coffee pot and microwave, in the dramatic play area, to role play more as they make pretend with one another; and they will be able to use the dollhouse and furniture to further explore their inner play instinct to act out family stories and traditions. These items would be integral to my students' early childhood development.
