Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What is dramatic play? It's the kind of play where kids take on roles and act them out to explore themselves and their surroundings. Children can learn new ways to express themselves, share thoughts and ideas, and even get in touch with their feelings by pretending to be someone- or something else.

Dramatic play is an essential part of a child's development.

These toys and tools will help my students truly expand their imaginations.

The pretend shaving and salon kits will allow the students to imitate what they see their parents doing at home. Using the Pretend Play Table and Chair Set and The Help-Yourself Dress-Up Center, my students will be provided with opportunities to practice their speech within play using their speech pragmatics with one another. The Bubble Pop Building Blocks Game will encourage my students to take turns within a structured game. The greenhouse will be an outside play area where they can pretend to be real gardeners! These are unique toys! These toys and tools with change my students' lives by opening up this new world of play for them!
