This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 6th and 8th grade students are constantly using supplies, such as glue and scissors, in my Science classroom. During this time of year, supplies have been used and need to be replaced. With 162 students, it can be difficult to purchase the needed supplies on my own. My classroom is extremely interactive. For example: my 8th grade students worked as a team to create a poster for Red Ribbon Week. For this assignment, the students were each given small square parts of the poster and were instructed to color using the provided electronic guide. After all parts were colored, the students worked together to combine all the colored parts in order to create a 30 inch by 30 inch poster.
