This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello! I am Dr. G, a Reading Specialist Teacher working with overaged middle school students who are bused to our campus. At our campus, students participate in a two-year accelerated program that puts them back on track for graduation. I teach my students reading strategies and encourage them to foster a love of reading! Upon leaving our school, students will be back on track as ninth graders! We want to have a classroom immersed in reading. Please support our success!

My Project

I am asking that you consider funding my classroom library. My students are overaged middle schoolers. Our focus is sixth grade English and Language Arts. We will achieve! Our goal is for students to read various books in an effort to increase their reading skill and their love for reading. Students will read about topics in which they’re interested versus teacher-selected. Our goal is an all-encompassing library that serves students’ needs. This is an awesome opportunity to increase overaged middle schoolers’ reading strengths. Whether purchasing one or all, your donation means a lot to us! Thank you in advance for your support!
