My Project

I teach both Math 8 & Math 1. Both curriculums involve lots of graphing and solving multistep problems. I have found in borrowing white boards from colleagues that students are more likely to attempt to solve the equation using a white board. They can easily erase a minor mistake they have made and continue on. I feel that we would use these boards almost daily.

My goal for having these boards would be to get more students engaged in my lessons and attempting to solve problems.

If they are not trying the problem, for fear of making a mistake, they are not learning. They learn by making a mistake and correcting it.

My students are amazing! Most really want to do well in school so I feel that it's important to provide them with the tools to make that happen.
