My Students

My students have multiple disabilities, but they don’t let that hold them back! We use a variety of materials in order to facilitate their learning. A blending of physical and digital activities keeps them engaged, as well as engages other students who are not directly involved in the activities. Many students have speech, OT, and PT services. It is our goal this year to show the amazing things that we can accomplish, and that we can do anything that our general education peers can do!

My Project

My students are currently working remotely to learn their skills. A big part of their development is gaining independence and making choices or sharing their wants/needs. In class we would have devices and different buttons/switches in order to facilitate this. These buttons can be recorded multiple times, and pictures can be placed on them to identify what they say.

Students will be able to use these buttons to respond during instruction as well as become more independent people at home.

These buttons will help them gain their independence and give them a voice!
