My classroom is a mixture of bilingual, English learners and socioeconomically disadvantaged students. Some students come with prior knowledge of the expectations and experiences and of a classroom setting while others do not. Regardless of their backgrounds or previous experiences, every child is eager and willing to learn.
My students are a lively bunch that loves to explore the world through educational experiences and play.
They never back down from a learning challenge and are endlessly curious. They are motivated to advance their learning by the materials and opportunities for academic growth provided to them.
My Project
At the beginning of this year, we created a DonorsChoose project for an art supplies center. It was fulfilled and we were generously given paint, construction paper and tag board for our art center.
Now that our art center is in full swing we have come across a dilemma; we need somewhere to allow the art to dry!
So we have created this project which only includes one item: a drying rack. With a drying rack, we will be able to create more independent learners who will have a safe space to place their work without fear of the paint dripping or smearing.
