My Project

I am asking for a chick brooder and coop for my kindergarteners. We have eggs in our incubator and they are impatiently waiting for them to hatch. They have been watching the calendar and counting down the days for the chicks to begin hatching.

We are so excited for our chicks to hatch and can't wait to watch them grow!

The chick brooder will provide the chicks with a heat lamp until they are big enough to go into the chicken coop. The kiddos will be able to see them through the clear siding as they grow.

I am also asking for the chicken coop so we can continue to watch them grow and hopefully have them lay eggs next school year. Even though my kinders now will be in first grade then they always like to come back and visit so they could continue to check in on the chicks as they grow into hens and roosters.

I believe these materials will provide my students with a great learning experience of the life cycle of a chicken and we can continue this tradition of hatching eggs each spring for many years to come!
