This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Arts and Crafts are becoming a thing of the past. The budget for art is slowly declining. In addition to this, the opportunities for kids to demonstrate what they know in creative ways is lessening in the classroom as well.
My students are amazing minds located right in the heart of the inner city.
The scissors are a tool to get my students to think creatively. They will use them to cut creative displays of their thoughts in an artistic way. As we design imaginative paper creations, the students can use them to demonstrate their knowledge of a topic. Our classroom can stop thinking within the confines of a rectangular piece 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper, but more in a festive self expression of knowledge that they have gained from our scholastic journey.
My Project
The resources will change the lives of my students because it will inspire them to think more creatively. These scissors would open up a widow to creativity with every snip. The students could share their knowledge in everything from bookmaking to expressing feelings on a Mother's Day craft.
I want to unravel the mysterious of education through the minds of my students.
We need help to gain the tools to provide creative opportunities in the classroom. Due to the cuts in our California education budgets, we are limited on the funds it takes to make that happen for our children. The possibilities are endless.
