Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Pre-K is where children begin to develop feelings, perceptions, and ideas about school. I teach approximately 18 preschool students in a low-income community. My goal is to give my students every opportunity to succeed by providing them with the materials they need to learn and grow in our society.

I love how they are eager to learn and seem to have boundless energy.

My students really love hands-on materials and activities. They love to explore the classroom and pretend to be many adventurous things, they have a great imagination.

My students are 3-4 years old and need LOTS of opportunities to be social in the classroom and in their community. Adding a better dollhouse to my classroom can help support the development of important oral language skills. I have always noticed that my small old dollhouse is the PERFECT way to encourage all children, especially those who are shy and new to the school, to become friends! My small old dollhouse has been so loved and overused that it is broken beyond repair, and I would really love a new, sturdy one. My small old dollhouse is in such bad shape that my assistant and I have to constantly supervise them while they play with it to ensure that they do not get hurt with it. Your donations and generosity would make these children so happy!
