Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a class of 22 eager and excited kindergarten students who are ready to learn no matter what COVID brings our way. We are curious little learners who love to work with manipulatives, sing songs, and dance. We started the year together with distance learning, then for a short while we spent time learning in the classroom face to face, and now due to safety concerns we will be returning to distance learning.

Every kinder enters my class each day ready to do their absolute best.

They are excited to try to new things, work hard, and have fun.

My Project

I am thinking outside the box when it comes to educating my little learners following guidelines for safety due to coronavirus. We started the year with distance learning, then spent time face to face with in class learning, and now we are returning to distance learning. Whether in the class or learning from home, my kinders need supplies to ensure engaging hands-on learning while following social distancing guidelines. It is my ultimate goal to provide my kinders with a wonderful kindergarten year as they continue their academic journey and ensure their love of learning.

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." -- Benjamin Franklin

TPT gift cards will help provide us with engaging hands-on learning resources and opportunities to meet the needs of all my learners. We will be able to purchase digital resources, like digital TASK-cards, google slides, FLUENCY & FITNESS activities, and hands on learning resources to differentiate learning and allow students to be active participants in their learning. Using these resources will keep engagement high while they are mastering kindergarten literacy and math skills, either in the classroom or at home. I am dedicated to teach my students the way they learn best...through hands-on learning with movement and music!

Providing individual book bins is a must this year. Kinders are not permitted to share supplies and need their own containers for their dry erase boards, books, folders, supplies, manipulatives, and other supplies they use each day.
