Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 20 wonderful students. The range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!

My students are little sponges.

They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.

These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank you for taking the time to read.

My Project

This year I have had to do many virtual lessons for my students. We do some sort of writing component during every lesson. It is extremely difficult to show the students how to write while I'm trying to balance paper on a white board. With a document camera, I can share my screen to show my paper. It will make things much easier!

Also, the document camera will be wonderful in the classroom.

In the past I was able to pass items around the classroom. Due to Covid, I'm unable to do this. With the document camera I can project items onto the Smartboard for every student to easily see.
