My Students

My school serves the students of the inner city of Manchester, NH. Our students and their families come from all over the globe. More than 90% of our population receives free and reduced price lunch and many of them are part of a program that sends food home with them over the weekend.

Many of our students have been directly affected by the opioid crisis and have experienced homelessness, poverty, living without a parent or being in foster care.

I have 27 fabulous students in my classroom. Each of them has their own unique story and individual needs. As a collective body, they show what resiliency and hope look like in this generation of learners.

My Project

When using the requested document camera, I will be projecting the work that I am doing on the screen or whiteboard. This way, students are able to follow along and see all of the things that I am doing to model the lesson and the independent work.

I will use this while using math manipulatives or demonstrate fractions by cutting bars and circles.

In science, I will begin lessons by showing students something and asking to make observations, predictions, and make a hypothesis before doing an experiment.

It can be difficult for all students to see what is happening in a tight environment. When it is projected, everyone is able to see and follow along, perhaps even do it along with me.

It will be used in all of my class subjects. It can also be used by students to create videos, show academic videos and even take pictures!

This is a must-have tool in any classroom!
