My Students

Do you remember sitting in the back of the room and not being able to see the board clearly because the board is too far or the words are too small? We can solve that problem with a document reader that can zoom in and enlarge the words and pictures!

I teach a class of 24 excited and hardworking second grade students.

My students come from different cultural and economic backgrounds. We have students learning English as a second language and English speaking students who are still getting a grasp of the English academic language. They are very helpful and caring students and love working together to help each other.

My Project

Our school is very fortunate to have enough funds for projectors this year! We can project web pages from our computer onto the big screen. The only drawback is that it is not very interactive or hands on. A document camera could read specific workbook pages and project it onto the big screen clearly and I can just model the lesson from it. I can write and model the lesson step by step, which is very important for the students to see. I could also demonstrate my math lesson on the big screen especially when I use the small manipulative. They would not need to crowd up around the teacher or miss seeing the lesson. Students would be more engaging with the lesson when they could see the story I am reading.

A Ladibug Document Camera will really help enhance our students learning!

With the document camera, students can project their work to the class and share their thought process instead of the teacher. They can take the lead and become the teacher. The document camera will also help us project books, workbook pages, and manipulative on the big projector screen for all students to see clearly!
