This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is so important for math to be hands on and visual for my students. As we are currently in our fractions unit, students are using plastic, foam, and paper fraction manipulatives to help with their understanding of fractions.

My students and I really need a document camera so they can understand math concepts in a more visual and concrete way.

There have been numerous times this year that we have needed a document camera for modeling different math concepts such as fractions and place value. We need it to be wireless so that it can be taken around the room and used from anywhere in the room. I need to use it to model for students, and I would like for students to use it to display and explain their thinking for the rest of the class.

We have needed a document camera for a very long time. Thank-you for taking your time to read about this project for my awesome students. A donation to this project in ANY amount would be so greatly appreciated. Thank-you so much!
