My Students

Remember when you had to get up in front of the class and share your work? Well my kindergarteners are doing just that! In order for the whole class to see their magnificent work, a document reader would be a great addition to our classroom so my scholars can project their work on the screen!

My students are on the path to college and beyond!

My school has the most dedicated teachers who all are working hard to make sure our students are focused to make a better life for themselves, their families, and their community. Many of my students come from impoverished communities. They come to school and feel safe. They are counting on us to prepare them for college and we are determined to get them there. My students are bright eyed, optimistic, and innocent. They see the good in everyone and deserve the best education possible.

My Project

At my school we do not have a lot in our budget for technology. We still have traditional chalkboards, no smart boards, a limited number of computers for our classroom. A document reader and projector will allow me to display examples of work to the class, highlight excellence, will allow me to read books and scholars can see the pictures and words, model lessons easier, have students help demonstrate and show and explain their work to the class. The uses are really unlimited! A projector allows me to hook up my computer to it and use appropriate websites for lessons, brain breaks, etc... It is a fabulous tool and allows me to integrate technology in a safe and appropriate way for my young scholars.

My students are entering a world of technology, and by the time they are in college it will be even more advanced.

This technology in my classroom will help my students achieve excellence, improve their classroom experience, allow them to share their work easier, understand a lessons' concept clearer, and get everyone of them to college and beyond!
