My Students
Students in my classroom come eager and ready to learn. They are excited to face the new challenges that await them. Together we create a climate that is warm, friendly, and engaging.
I want my classroom to be a place where kids feel safe, have fun, and have an insatiable desire to learn.
In addition, I value my students’ social growth as much as their academic growth. My personal and professional goal is to provide an environment that inspires lifelong learning.
My Project
Some may not value the importance of play. However, playing games in kindergarten is so much more than what it may appear to be. Through games like Yahtzee, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Go Fish, and Old Maid my students learn how to take turns, be good sports, follow direction, and cooperate with their peers. They also learn how to be humble and a good friend. It is important to build good characteristics and life skills, like these, at a young age. And, what better way to do that than through good old fashion board and card games?
