About My Students

I'm excited to work together with my students on this project because it will allow them to create high quality audio productions that will inspire them to continue in the creative and technical arts.

During student interest surveys and classroom discussions, it was determined that many students had the motivation to produce hip-hop and musical recordings. During a classroom discussion, Tony decided that we should try to get the necessary equipment to make these recordings.

This project will allow my students the opportunity see their potential in terms of producing music from scratch. This is huge as many students don't even have the opportunity to take music classes and the majority have not had interactive exposure to musical instruments.

In Their Own Words

I want to have a recording studio in the technology classroom, so we decided to get a turntable and some microphones. We also need to get the cables and some electronic equipment to connect it all to the computers and edit the sound.

I want to show how to write a good rap track. I think some of the other students want to make other kinds of songs but once they see mine, they will know how do it for real. I'm going to set the example.

This project will be important because we can record in a professional studio. We are gonna make nice beats and show the other kids how to do it. I want to make music like a pro so now we will have a studio and we can record for real.
